Wow those are beautiful. Thankfully we do not need a new engine, but a new one sure would look nice in the boat!

Will the engine and transmission fit the direct drive if you remove the Walter Gear Drive?

Good question. I am thinking yes. A spline shaft out of the back of the tranny where the shaft coupler flange mounts?

Worst case scenario, you have to use your old tranny.

From the above pictures, it looks like us Direct Drive guys would have to swap the tranny. Bellhousing bolt pattern should be the same.

Complete SX driveline. I thought about it but I have a spare 1.46 vdrive I bought when I hit a pull tab (shady bar lottery) in Spokane. Would be super nice to have the whole rig. I don't wanna part with what it probably went for, a fraction of its value.
