Wanted - Toyota Marine Trailer for S22
« on: September 01, 2015, 23:49:47 pm »
I recently purchased an S22 that came with an Eagle trailer.  Nice trailer, but its not set up perfectly for my boat, bunks don't quite line up, no locking pin up front, and I trailer everywhere.  Looking for anyone who may have one laying around not being used.

Thanks,

I've owned two epics with tandem trailers, one was brand new, the other was taken care of. they both have been colossal pieces of shit. My advice, get a quality inboard trailer ( must have prop guard ) and get bunks modified, put bow eye gimmick thing on there, good to go. I'll trade you mine straight up if its tandem and an inboard trailer. please take my piece of shit trailer!!!

Cyclone,

You've definitely got me interested! I've called multiple shops around town and am struggling to find anyone to make the bunk modifications and add the "bow eye gimmick thing" so that's why i posted the wanted ad.  My trailer is an Eagle dual axle trailer with prop guard and surge brakes, so it's a nice trailer.  Let me known if you're seriously interested and I'll start brainstorming how to arrange a swap!

fix the bunks and don't worry about the bow eye gimmick, thats a west marine part anyway. My trailer sucks for a thousand reasons. You should do a search on this forum about trailers. The Ameratrail trailers are garbage. Read about the one dude's boat coming off the trailer when he went across a train track and the shitty axle broke and then the springs broke etc. then PM me if you want to swap. Fix up your trailer!!

Finally found a local garage that claims they will do full trailer modifications.  Scheduling for the next couple weeks to get it done.  I think the plan is to cut off all the bunk posts and start from scratch.  At this point i'm more mad at myself for not noticing when i purchased the boat...  But hopefully it'll get done right and all will be well with the world!
