Timing Belt Change...
« on: September 02, 2015, 15:03:19 pm »
Found a great instructional from DRHRSH on how to change the timing belts but I only have parts one and three. Anybody know where to find the entire instructional?

Also, I changed my plugs the other day and noticed that one plug, back right, was moist. I am worried that there may be a leak in the manifold water jacket. I started the engine and let it cool and checked again. No moisture. Is it possible for moisture to settle into the engine naturally say over night or do I potentially have a water jacket leak? Every once in a while at idle the engine kinda shutters. Wonder if that is that cylinder sucking in some water to the point of fouling that plug.

In checking, perhaps I needed to wait longer in order to let the cooling of the engine cylinder suck in the water and then check?

Any body have an experience with this?

Keep an eye on that.  let me know about the manual as I need to do mine this year.  I have all the parts just need find time to get it all swapped out.  they are draining our lake the day after labor day to try and rid it of eurasion milfoil.  so last weekend to ski.

Okay....and where did you get the parts list and numbers?

Too bad about your lake. Ours is a river/lake dammed on both ends but flowing and is now restricted for swimming due to bacteria. I'll stop skiing when the green stuff starts growing out of my ears. Ha!

Hi Jimbo,
Will look into that today and we'll see if that is a problem.

Tx!

My post is still available...all 3 parts. If you search "timing belt" they are all there. For some reason part 2 comes up after part 3 in the list.

DRHRSH,
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I tried to find all three parts but can't seem to get part two. Not sure if this is unorthodox but if you could, could you email me in an attachment, a PDF lets say all three parts to my reg email? maynard@optonline.net. Man, that would be great. Hope so!

Thanks!

I  e mailed you a link to all 3 parts. Can really put it in a pdf as the post is constructed on the Epic forum site. This should do it for you. Good luck, it's easy!
