ok first issue.  broke off the thermostat housing.  and now even with an impact wrench cannot get crank bolt off.  it is a normal bolt correct?   cant get it off.  now what???

Stop buy BLASTER spray and soak all bolts and nuts . Use only 6 point sockets. Scrape paint of threads and mated surfaces.

do they paint the crank bolt too?   it was a pain to get all the paint off the other bolts

got it off.  finally the impact wrench took it off.  water pump was a bear to take off too.  same problem the o-ring was almost fused.  got it off though

We have a used housing and other spare parts.  Also had one welded.  Buying a new one isn't a bad idea though, don't want to take business from Rick.  If interested stop by, Elkhart Lake, Wi.  Good Luck, Doug
