I'd like to welcome you to the board by hijacking your first thread (gr8dna's setting transponder to 7500):

...thinking of wine and cream, I remembered back (in the archives) to a place only Mr. Manual Search Engine might find. Blueplastic, member of our orlando chapter, has what might be your hull twin. Is this what you're talking about?

Anyways, welcome, and please tell us more about yourself and your Epic history when you can.

Second the welcome. It would be a lot easier to figure out if your Toyota was up there on the first-built list with Epicmarine.com's very own Hull Identification Number (HIN) decoder...located here:

http://www.epicmarine.com/images/HINdecoder.pdf

My '01 X22 reads hull 136 or something like that (is that total X22 hulls, or just 2001 X22 hulls?).  Mine also has a couple extra letters thrown in there...

The color of my Epic 22 is claret/ivory. The serial# is SOETB013K899 and the certificate of origin is dated December 11, 1998. The show in atlanta was on 8/21/98. The Epic on display was claret/ivory,the same color I ordered. Everybody from Toyota said that it was the first Epic sold,I am not absolutely sure. However I did have a NC tag EPIC#ONE on  my Lexus LX470.          This is an excellent site and will be back !

Soooooo, I am going with yours being number 13. I hope you aren't superstitious. And I am going with my X22 being number 18.

If your boat was built in Nov 98 as the HIN indicates, it could not be the boat that was at the show in Aug 98? Or do I have the dates mixed up? It doesn't really matter, the boats were hand built, one offs anyway. They are all works of art, IMHO!

I did try to buy the display boat from the boat show, they would not sell it ,would clone it and I would have it in october. They did clone it and it was delivered middle of january, not a great time for boating in NC.Probably never would have picked out claret/ivory,it sure was pretty at the show.
