I was at the BU dealer on Friday.  When I told him that I sold my Toyota, he says "that's great, those things are so hard to sell."  I replied with something to the contrary-like, "I had at least a call a day on mine ever since the weather warmed up."  which I truly did.  I was telling Bitzco you guys ought to demand top dollar for your Epics.  I feel like Brent and I had a pretty square transaction (I hope he feels the same way) but it kills me to see people like "questionably legit" man low-balling that Epic just to get rid of it.  From the response to my recent add on boattrader, I'm positive there are a lot of people out there in that price point that would love to have an Epic.  Especially compared to the comparable used boats.  So there's my unsolicited $0.02.

The market for these boats has definitely picked up since gas prices went up. One way I can tell is by the number of new site members, there's one or two new ones every day lately. People are going to get tired of putting +100$ worth of gas in their boats to go boarding for the day.

So I guess that makes me retarded, bucking the trend.  I'll give you a true cost b/n per hour IF THE SNOW EVER STOPS HERE.  I know it won't be as friendly at the pump.

I just noticed that this thread that was started by me is third in the most viewed threads list. I just can't stand to be a third. I'm posting this reply, so everyone will look to see what I wrote. I need about 350 views to get into first place over the threads about the poser boat and the stereo system. If you don't want to support me in the goal to be number one, don't read this post. Oh, wait, you already did. Thanks and tell your friends.

This is a reply in support of Bitzco, so he can be number one.

Fest,
With all your toys, it doesn't appear that gas cost is a big consideration for you! I figure you must be an oil man! Haliburton Maxximus:)

Pete- I actually have consolidated toys into toy.  And sold the Toy (ota).  I'm driving a Civic and working like a dog.  There won't be anything new for a while.........

And regarding gas prices...my brother and another rider both contributed generously to the gas for the morning today.  Props to them!  Gas for future sessions...  I haven't accepted gas money before, at least not that I can think, so that was a nice touch.  Unfortunately I will probably end up giving it to one of my kids for a school field trip or to my wife for something.....

So, the boat dudes on this site who actually know something are another reason to keep the Toy. I just did the prop packing as per instructions. No big deal, even for a retard like myself. Maybe I'll tackle the impeller next. Thanks guys. You are a wealth of info. Oh yeah, I posted to this post again, so that should help me catch up in hits to that stereo post. Thanks,
