Owners Manuals
« on: February 13, 2003, 02:28:36 am »
I have owners manuals for 1999 and 2000 model years. I plan on scanning them to PDF for anyone that needs or wants one. If anyone can do the same for a 2001 and/or 2002 manual, it would be great. I know it's a lot of work, but I would hate to be without one, they are very detailed.

I have the 2oo1 for the S22
I'll scan it and send it over.
I don't have software to convert to PDF

I can do it. The easiest way is to scan directly into Photoshop.
If it is a big file or you're on dial up, let me know and I'll give you an FTP account so you can send it straight to the server. Much faster.

I bought my '01 S22 this summer!  Dealer gave me a '00 manual for the direct drive, totally different daashboard, switches, radio--you name it. He tells me they never printed a new manual when they changed the dash.  I don't buy that.  I would love to download anyone's copy of the actual manual, as this has nothing about the v-drive.

Hey DRJohn! welcome to the board. I haven't had time to scan the manuals that I have, they are spiral bound and two sided color. I will do it when I have time. I will also go to the dealer and see if I can find newer manuals, it may also be possible to order them. The engine manual is still available, and I have seen the Vdrive transmission manual at the dealer.

Thanks.  I probably wouldn't need a technical manual.  I have neither the tools, time, nor expertise to even change the oil.  But the regular care and maintenance recommendations, the care of the interior, the controls and how to use them would be nice.  That should be in the usual owner's book.  Heck, we couldn't even open the rear trunck lid to get to the engine for two weeks until we found the mystery hidden release. I'm the kind of guy who actually reads the book for the new car--at least once.
