Correct engine temp
« on: April 24, 2023, 02:36:07 am »
Hey all,
What temperature should these Toyota engines run and oil pressure at idol and off throttle?  Just confirming as I’m seeing around 190-195 regularly for temp and oil pressure between 10 psi at idol and up when off idol.  I’ve neglected the thermostat and just want to verify as I’m not trusting my gauges these days. I can barely read the digital MDC (I think it’s called) and the 4 way gauge is on its last legs. Thought about swapping the 4 way gauge, but at $850…ouch. Also looking at other gauge options if any out there.

Thanks

The engine should run pretty cool, 170ish. You should be able to put your hand on the intake manifold or exhaust manifolds without burning your hand.

The boats are wired for standard gauges, Capt Rick has put packages together of replacement analog gauges, you can DIY if you want, there's a sticky in the forum. I'd probably just go with what he's offering.

Gauges and digital displays on these boats sucked since day one, so your boat works flawlessly;)
