It came from Japan
« on: March 01, 2005, 10:25:58 am »
Sorry I was not able to change a form into English.
It came from Japan.
There is very little Epic in Japan.
However, I love Epic very much.
My ship is Epic S22. It is trusted very much.

歓迎 - Welcome!

For you epicmariners....

I stumbled across this group of Epic owners in Japan last week while doing the occasional Epic search. The hot ticket is to go to babelfish.altavista.com, which is the only language translator on the web that I am familiar with.

Once there, you can enter a web address in the "Translate a Web Page" (like http://www.geocities.co.jp/Athlete-Samos/6519/ ) and then select "from Japanese to English". This particular page didn't translate very well, but other related searches have in the past.

The other thing you can use on the Babelfish page is the text converter, where you enter some info and then select convert english-to-japanese. So when I visisted their site, and found their forum, and saw they were asking questions about oil pressure warnings (you gotta love it), I tried to leave word with them to visit our site.

Tried this morning to go back and am having all kinds of problems. Your mileage will vary.

The good news is that there's a few real Epics in Japan, not just the low-budget Cleaver imitation. Made some posts about Cleaver a while back; it's an Epic hull bottom-half, with a, shall we say, austere hull top half. Don't think there's a cushion in the boat. But it's got the M1UZ, so, hey, can't be all bad, right?

Remember that the Epic is 'made in America'. Tell your redneck friends about the fact that the Japanese had to IMPORT the Epic. I don't believe this is just a matter of shipping costs, I also believe it encounters any trade tarrifs, etc. that American goods of this nature are taxed with on their way over. In other words, our friend's S22 is worth a pretty penny over there.

Finally, Pete & Lesman, it looks like our past threads have lost all their images. Did you guys know? Is there a way to get them back in-line?

LMFAO! I used to own a camry.

can't wait to go to that forum and play with it.

Not sure about all the old photos. I "think" the photos may still be on the server, but just not associated with any post. I may can re-attach them to the database if i know what goes with what..scary, though.

I'll check it out later tonight.

Les, that is COOL. Hopefully we get some more members from Japan. You never know what might happen, if we keep finding Epic owners around the globe.

Hello, it is team kaito. The translation site is used. It may be incomprehensible. The trouble occurred in the engine of Epic s22 which I own. Oil mixes the condition in cooling water. Overheat has not been carried out. Is it experienced?

If the oil cooler is bad from salt water corrosion water will mix with engine oil. Note The oil level will raise and milky oil in valve cover and pan.

Rick, could we get that in Japanese, please? (Just kidding, captain-san).

So...

1) Drain the engine oil.

2) Replace the engine oil cooler.

3) Replace oil filter.

4) Fill with new oil and run engine.

5) Change oil and filter again.

various -- thank you.
The contents of
1) Drain the engine oil.

2) Replace the engine oil cooler.

3) Replace oil filter.
however a result which actually worked were the same. Engine is removed from a boat, the pressure of 2 kg/cm2 is put from a cooling system, and the leak is checked now.
