Gr8dna et al,

The photos are all indeed still intact, but it's nare impossible to figure out which photos go with what posts. So for what it's worth, here is a link to the directory of all the photos. Have at it.

I could add all these photos to the Photos site pretty easily. Someone speak up and I will.

That'd be sweet Lesman.  I know there's a lot of technical pics that have been uploaded that may come in handy some day. And all of them are cool to look at.  That is, if it's not too much trouble, I'd appreciate it. ;)

Les, thanks for working on this so quickly, and it's cool that you've retained all the pics.

So there's really no way to find out which belongs where, huh? If it's just a matter of legwork, I'd love to help.

Maybe if we all just do what we can to reattach our own pics? That'd drop the list down quite a bit probably.

Also, is there a way to like archive these threads, this database, like to export it to Word or something?

Thanks so much, Mr. Webmaster.

highflyn,

1. Try it now, I bumped up the size limit from 128k to 300k

2. To optimize or shrink photos, it depends on what imaging software u have. You should at least have something like microsoft photo editor. Generally, you should be able to change the image size to something smaller in order to reduce the file size. Many image editors have a "save optiized" option that works pretty well. tell me what you got and I'll walk you through it. There is probably some freeware software out there somewhere that will do it.

LOL!!   I went out and bought a new HP scanner/printer...more for the free picture editing software than anything.   I think Google has some freeware with some photo editing tools...click on the tab on the far right of google's homepage.  I've never used it though.

OK, whew! I added all the old forum images to the photo site in an album called forumpics. Add a comment if you know what post it goes to.

A very simple way is to right click on the filename, select "Open With" and choose "Paint" , then from the Tools menu, select "Stretch/Skew" and you will see two fields that both have 100% in them. Change them both to the same value, say 60% and hit apply. Save as a different file name and check the size. Do this until you get a file the size you want.

I use Adobe Photoshop and change the Image Size to 640 by 480, that usually does it.

You are just stinkin' envious that it ain't yer bed or yer bedroom in the background. Bed frames squeak too much and they also break at inopportune times.

I don't think it is the bedframe that you have to worry about.? Are the boxsprings in good working order?? Also, what is it accidentally rolled over on you?? You'd need a snorkel set handy, although i'd pass on the mask.  Some things aren't meant to be seen.
