I may be delirious, but...
« on: April 01, 2005, 13:58:44 pm »
I am sick as a dog and gliding in and out of consciousness, but I just saw a Rhino-Liner commercial on the Speed channel that had a yellow wakeboard boat. I swear it had a 2002 SX logo on the side. Anyone else see it?

So, Pete, when you are sick, you are only supposed to take a couple of those Coricidin Cough and Cold pills, not the whole box. They'll make you see stuff like that. Stuff you'd like to see, like a world full of Toyotas or yourself pulling that 1080. Don't worry though, the effects wear off and you'll be sane again.

I don't have the Speed channel or a box of Coricidin, so I haven't seen it in any case.

I saw it again, and I was 80% conscious this time. Next time you see a Rhino Liner commercial, check out the yellow SX! I doubt there is an ounce of Rhino liner on it, they just needed a boat so they could say "Boats!"

SOMEbody out there owns it, it looks like the one Bitzy turned up, it's been for sale for a year or two. It's got a yellow soft bimini, kinda unusual.

New Epic owner question
« Reply #6 on: April 02, 2005, 22:07:35 pm »
I just bought a 1999 epic X22 yesterday. When I test drove the boat both speedometers were working. When I took it out on the lake yesterday neither one was working. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Does anyone have any advice on what to look for?

The speedo pickups are notoriously sucky, they clog all the time. It's not a big deal, you should have some swim goggles and a big safety pin in the boat at all times. You can clean them out underwater. I usually unhooked the rubber hose and blasted them out with wd40 or silicone spray while in the driveway, that helps keep em clean.

That's one of the major reasons I worked to make Perfect Pass fit our boats, the paddle wheel speedo.

Glad to have you on the board, don't be a stranger!
