TMS boat owners in Mi
« on: June 22, 2005, 16:36:10 pm »
Seems like most of the Epic owners live out west, north west or Georgia.  Any boat owners here in (finally) sunny Michigan? ???

I have the only TMS boat on Belleville Lake (near Detroit) and take great pride in extolling the virtues of our boats at any opportunity.  I am totally shut down when some MC yahoo points out that I am the only one with an Epic.  I usually counter with I am the only one with enough smarts to have bought one when they were available and offer my condolences on their purchases to them.

You are right, you ARE the only smart one in Michigan!  They are just jealous.  :)   There are many epic owners out here in Northern California...maybe you'll just have to take a road trip to the West or the East Coast.    Be proud in Michigan.....   ;)

I don't know of any others here in the Denver area except for my brother's.  I had a guy in a Moomba pull up to me last year and say that it was a shame they stopped production on the Toys.  He said it was the best engine on the water.  I said nothing, just smiled.  MC owners think their crap tastes like honey.  I guess they'd know.

I'm proud to say that our boat's been in Yooper territory!?

(Remember that tune by the Yoopers called 30 Point Buck?? Was it a hit in the Detroit area?? It was a big hit in Wisconsin a few years ago and you still hear it on the radio during deer season.? It's a song by some drunken deer hunters from Escanaba who are on the lookout for the world's largest buck - you know, the one that got away.? Actually, it's kind of a funny song with lots of regional humor.? But it might just be a Wisconsin thing.? Even though we're the drunken idiots who wear cheeseheads and blaze orange hunting gear to Packers games, the song is about the U.P!? ).? ?

Anyhow, we pull our boat over the border into Ironwood, Michigan in search of cheaper gas since the gas taxes are so high in Wisconsin.? Since downtown Ironwood is about two blocks away from downtown Hurley, Wisconsin, it's worth a quick detour to see if we can save a few bucks at the pump in Michigan.?

FYI, for those of you on the coasts, a Yooper is someone from the U.P. - Upper Peninsula of Michigan.? Daydreaming about deer is a big pastime up there.? Speaking of the Midwest, I'm kind of surprised that nobody else from the Milwaukee/Chicago area posts anything on this site.? It's such a huge area, I'd think some other Epic owners would have discovered this site by now.? I've seen several Epics in the Milwaukee area... let's hear from you!

I'm from Michigan. It is a great state in the summer but the winters suck.

GO PACK GO!
