Lost trim on side of Epic
« on: June 27, 2005, 16:13:40 pm »
 >:(  We were out boating  yesterday and the black "bumper" trim on the side of our boat broke apart from the boat.  The bracket that connects it to the boat also broke in many pieces.  It is so strange because we have never banged the side of our boat against anything...Anyone else have this issue?  How did you order a new one????  We have a 2000 21.....  Our friends (one with a Malibu and the other w/a Centurion did not let us live that down all day....that was the worst part, ha!)

Thanks!

Yes, the rub rail.....I did not know what the right name was, other than "bumper", how embarassing!!!   Of course, in the picture it is in tact because the pic was taking in March.

The soft rub rail comes in black or white
MRR0010183   RubRail,Soft,55Ft,Black   $145.13
MRR0010184   RubRail,RigidBase,6FTSections,Black   $13.41
The rigid black platic is screwed to the boat. The soft rail is installed by inserting the face then when all installed is hit down to lock on.
