I logged on this morning thinking I would post a little something first about the Round-Up, yeah, right. You guys are FAST!!!
What a hoot - the only thing in common to begin the weekend was an appreciation for these boats but I could not have imagined what a great group would gather. Thanks to all that showed up. Breakawaydaze, your ears must have been burning so you need to show for the proposed Second Bi-Monthly East Coast Epic Roundup, v2. Cyclone is an encyclopedia of knowledge about these boats (and others) without being a technocrat. You cannot look at his boat without smiling. It epitomizes what this whole thing should be about - having fun with the "Toy". Hector's boating past includes selling a 21 yr. old MC to a friend that he still sees - is that confidence in how you took care of your boat or what!! Lesman's hands are full - his 1 1/2 yr old wildcat climbed right into the driver's seat the second Lesman vacated it and was READY. Lesman said he had to leave since it was nap time - but he didn't say who needed the nap.
Les, now we know Pete's side job - working for Acme!!! He found a ding in my prop also. I am building up nerve to read the prop thread once more without my eyes crossing from all of the specs and details offered in it! However, thank goodness he also knows all stuff electrical (or at least is daring enough to guess at things on MY boat). He disconnected the awful beeping racket that drove me crazy every time I started the boat. I thank him, my family thanks him, my neighbors thank him, in fact, most of NE Georgia and Upstate SC thanks him.
You Seattle area owners better jump on Cyclone's suggestion that some of you get togetherin the next few weeks while he is in your area. You are guaranteed to have fun while meeting a new friend.
In summary, a public "Thank You' to Cyclone (Pete), primarily for hosting this website that benefits all of us so much but also for letting me occupy way too much of his time this weekend. I was just a bucket of questions and he graciiously spent an enormous amount of time on my dock instead of where his heart was, out on the water. It was fun letting Cyclone work the E21. Now I know why there are handles on the sides of the boat. He is also quite the wakeboarder, aided no doubt by the tital wake created by the walking, talking Fat Sack, Rambling Wreck...
