It has been a while since I have posted here.  I have been busy digging out a 900 square foot crawl space in my basement.  I recently went out in my 2000 Epic X22 and was trying to fill my stock ballast in the trunk and the two way Jabsco pump would not pump in.  Every time I would turn it on, it would just pull down the electrical system, but would not start the pump.  After about 10 tries, the pump finally turned on.  But when we were done boarding, I went to empty the tank and it did it again.  I am wondering if any else has had this problem and what they did to solve it.  Any advice would be great.  Thanks

Where is the pump located? If it is in the bilge look for signs of water on the motor?

The pump is either under your rear seat in the bilge (not good) or on the aft side of the bulkhead in your storage compartment. See the doc on the how to page for reproductions of grainy faxes that describe the procedure for a retrofit, moving the pump to the compartment wall instead of in the bilge.

Your problem is a stuck impeller. Remove the cover from the pump (4 screws) and remove the rubber impeller. Put it back in there with some dish soap or lithium grease. Plug it in and make sure the motor spins, you might want to check it first before you put t he pump back together.

The pump is located to the left of the battery between the driver seat and the passenger seat.  What causes a stuck impeller?  If I run it to long without water running though it or what?  I will try what you said cyclone and see what I find out.  Thanks mfor the information.

That's a different location than I've seen, but coincidentally that is what the new documentation shows on the TMS Parts Lookup page. The impeller may stick after not being used for a while, it is replaceable and you can get it through Jabsco. I doubt it is a part that Toyota carries, they would just replace the whole pump.
