It appears the gauntlet has been tossed by the Tabernacle boys. We need another Roundup.
However, we don't need weeks to set it up since our double wides are within spittin distance.

Seriously, talk has begun about having another East Coast Epic Roundup before the season ends. Is everyone up for this Sunday (8/14) or the following weekend? Breakawaydaze has PROMISED to attend this one so we will have 5 boats if the "regulars" all show. If I am understanding correctly, this will be the christening of Breakaway's new boat. If anyone else is within driving distance, come on down - Lake Hartwell, the 2nd largest man made lake in America!

It is the best site going since my wife cancelled our porn site memberships and the satellite tv piracy websites got busted. I was actually on the verge of talking to real live people-   I have more fun reading eveyone's posts than just about anything, well, except being on the lake, towing the kids with the Epic.. watching my son's roller hockey games... tinkering with my car.... listening to music..... watching tv......cutting grass.......going to watch my daughter perform in the Nutcracker for the 187th time (well, maybe not that one)..................going to the dentist for a root canal.............................

Seriously, it is fun to sign in and see what you guys are up to. Once I get a little experience under my belt, I hope to be able to help others as you guys do. Things probably get quieter in the winter but I will keep checking!

Wreck, you have insulted both Festivus and his bro with that dentist remark. Beware of dentists who may sneak into your house late at night with a bit of nirous to do terrible things to your teeth.

I "may" be able to come up sunday. I have my 25 year HS reunion saturday night or i'd come stay with you wreck, or my other buddy up there. It's about 1.75 hour drive, so it may not be the thing to do for 1 day. And getting anywhere in a hurry with a 20 mo. old, well...

I'l be going to some lake unless it rains....

I realized i sound like a whinner on that last post.  :'( I'll try to make it up there on Sunday.

It's just that my doublewide needs new tires and don't know if It'll make the journey.

they have the new Firestone Okra-tread mobile home trailer tires on sale at Hank's World of Tires in Tupelo right now, so I don't wanna hear excuses about having bad tires on that double wide.

Geez Louise, we are hitting a few snags. Breakawaydaze cannot make it on Sunday. I know he really wants to attend a Roundup - well, at least the East Coast Epic Roundup. I told him I would see how people felt about sometime over the Labor Day weekend. He was also wondering if it would be possible for people to get together during the week. I know some of us have flexible schedules but HCollado ond Lesman have "real" jobs. "Real' jobs, as defined by my wife, include those that require you to get in the car and actually leave the house every day. When people ask her what I do for a living she always responds, "He works in the basement."

Lesman, I didn't think you were whining. Gathering up a 20 month old ball of fire for a 2 hour drive each way is tough, especially when you have a moonshine hangover and your stomach aches from holding it in all night long . Heck, I know from personal experience how much the stomach thing hurts. Three cute little things on a waverunner kept riding by the dock a few weeks ago. I thought I would darn near pass out from holding my breath untill the wife came out and started laughing at me. She rubbed salt in the wound by reminding me that my 20 year old, 6ft, 2in 190lb of solid muscle nephew also happened to be on the dock. Women can be so petty. I was going to suggest you use two tires from your tandem axle trailer for the double wide but oops, you have a single axle trailer-

Fiinally, tropical storm Irene needs to be watched since she is threatening to "blow" Georgia. Watched, hell, get a video  camera-

Anywhoo - I am game for whatever you guys think. This Sunday, sometime over Labor Day weekend, or possibly a weekday before or after - Whatever we come up with, let's do it soon so I don't have to apologize to the Tabernacle Twins because of it taking weeks to set up---

Note to HCollado: You have a wakeboard boat - you just don't have a tower!!! I am the one that stands out like a sore thumb in the pictures by not having a top! Here's to us sore thumbs-

Wrekster-  You'll never need to apologize for anything, especially being slow.  Isn't that part of the Southern charm?

Well, it turns out that I'm headed back to Victoria, BC tonight, so I'm out of the picture for this weekend. Labor day may or may not work for me. We should have good weather until the second or third week in October. We'll get another chance.

I am not working any more today, it is about 87deg, no wind, no clouds. I'm going out on the lake for the rest of the day.

I'll be lucky to get out at all this weekend.

I decided to check the forum since I had to take a break from the sun. The glare is so bad due to the glassy water that i am totally sunburned AGAIN! This is getting old.

The real southern charm is our slow talking - it took me 6 minutes to type that-
