Well, looks like I'm done too. No injuries, just too dang diddily ang cold! Yesterday it was about 70 and the water was 60, so I got in a bit o boardin' and a few sky ski attempts. BRRRRR. It was fun but cold. Starting tomorrow it looks like 50's from here on out. Too cold for me. Takin the boat for a bit o winterizin' at Marine Products.

On a side note. Sky Skiing is pretty fun. I suck but my 13 year old is riding and hopping all over the lake. That little wretch has only tried it about 5 times. I've tried it forty or fifty and I can barely stay up. If any of you want to give me a Christmas present, a sky ski would be satisfactory. I could use it durin' the winter as an antenna on top o the trailer. I bet NASCAR would come in great on that thing.

I'm with everybody else that actually has seasons.  It is starting to get too cold to go out on the water here in Oregon.  Getting ready to winterize on Sunday.  It's a good thing that I have a heated shop, so my winterizing isn't as involved.  Easy to do myself.  I ended up with about 60 hours this season, completely trouble free, as it has always been.  Did take a great vacation to Lake Roosevelt in Eastern Washington for 16 beautiful days.  Burned 3 tanks of gas for about 28 hours.  These boats ROCK!!

Sunday October 15, 2006 was a sad day. The 1999 Epic 21 was put away in the pole barn for the winter season. The season ended earlier this year than 05 because of the weather. Boat completly winterized and the trailer bearing cleaned and repacked, brakes flushed. New raw water installed, fuel pumps oiled and fuel tank drained. After the battle with the gauges in the spring the whole season went well with no problems at all. Final tally for 06 is 136 hours which is down from last year. Total hours on the 1999 Toyota Epic 21 is 828 hours. At the end of 2007 it will be time for a new timing belt.
There is one plus though. Two water ski buddies still have their boats ready for action. So ski season has not completly stopped in Northwestern OH, but dry suits are now the proper attire with day time highs at 55-61 and water temperature at 51 degrees.

Well it has happened again. Summer is over in NW Ohio. Winterized the Epic 21 October 06, 2009 and tucked her away in the pole barn. Not a bad year at 147.6 hours which brings the total on the Epic 21 to 1213.6 hours.

Season's not really over down here but I've got too much going on to not winterize the boat. It's tucked away dry and safe. Lots of new stuff to do on it this winter, I'm going to pull out the cupholder/gunwale thingys, add another speaker to each side and rebuild the housing with MDF to support the flimsy plastic panel. I will add LEDS this winter and probably put video screens in between the two speakers. A little over the top, I know, but I don't get out much;)

I will also explore the automated trim tab possibilities, this boat could really use it. Recently, a guy on Wakeworld posted the schematic for his control box for the trim tab, he designed a system similar to the Supra Smart Plate. It puts the plate down for 3-4 sec (adjustable) when pulling up the rider, then puts it all the way up so the transom sinks for the best wake.

Still working on the new ballast computer, I'll finish that this winter too:)

We had snow on Saturday.  Glad I took the boat in to be winterized earlier in the week.

I would like to beat last years last ski date of November 15th.  The water is getting colder but still not too bad if the Sun is out and warmer than 70.  My big winter fix is seat repair. Several seams separating and a few cracks in the aft seats. Perfect Pass stargazer still working great.

Another season has come to an end in NW Ohio. The Epic 21 is winterized and tucked away for the winter. The weather yesterday was 60 outside and water temperature was 58. It was time.
Total hours for 2010 is 119 hours, down from past years for some reason.
Total Epic 21 boat hours is 1,333 and still running strong.
Trailer bearings repacked and brake fluid flush.
Bring on Summer of 2011
