WTB: Bow Filler Cushion
« on: November 28, 2005, 16:41:01 pm »
I am looking to buy a bow filler cushion for my 2000 Epic X22 boat.  The interior colors are Dark Grey, Light Grey, and White.  If anyone has one that they would like to sell, post here or email me at mvermeer@marcus-mer-cleg.k12.ia.us  Thanks

I've looked into this for my X22 as well.  Unfortunately, Toyota made the bow filler cushion for the SX only (and it doesn't fit, I tried).  Soooo.... you'd have to get one made custom.

For anybody with the SX, the bow filler cushion sits down about an inch from the rest of the cushions.  Highflyin ordered one but sent it back after finding this out.

Hmm, I've had two SX's with bow fillers and they were not lower than the other ones. I have loved mine. Fest doesn't like his as well though.

I have a bow filler cushion for my Epic 22. It is the same height as the rest of the cushions. I could post detailed dimensions, it would be easy to make one. It is dark grey, same as the part of the seat upholstery that it butts up against. There is also a kit for the plastic strips that support the seat. Mine are black but white would look better. They would be very easy to fabricate as well, just 3/4" x 1.5 in Starboard material about 15" long.

No problem. I'll take pics of the brackets, too. They are probably available and for not much money. I though I remembered seeing that the bow filler cushion was the same for all boats. I think I saw that the bow carpet was, as well.

I can do the same for the the tramp top, too. It would be fairly easiy to get fabricated locally. Probably not cheaper but you could customize it and still have the original look. It's a design that has always worked well for me.

the thing with the factory bowfiller cushion is that it doesn't stay put.  Whenever myself or even a lightweight kid boards the boat and steps onto it, it slides back.  No big dealio, I'm pretty easy going, but what is happening is the friction (he he) from the vinyl to the fiberglass is wearing holes in the underside of the bfc, and I don't the lifespan will be very long.  Has anyone figured a way to stabilize that sucker?

I know exactly what you mean, that's why I never use that thing. That, and the 750lb FlyHigh that's occupying that space.

I am going to drill 1/4" holes in the plastic mounting brackets and put dowel pins in the bottom of the seat to keep it from sliding back.

Pete, whatup with the Fat Seat and walkway sack? Tasty or what? Now you just need a second sac in the trunk and about 300 lead under the bow cushions and you'll be ready for wakeboarder.com ;-) Seriously, 3K is a really fun knee-buster.

Since I got my seats redone I like having the back seat back. The fat seat is OK but can be a drag. I have a Skylon locker sack way over inflated in the trunk for about 800 and the 750 in the walkway:)))

WHAT'S UP GUYS!?
Just sticking my head in to learn a thing or two and thought I'd say hello. Cyclone, sounds like you have a monster wake, wish you could get a good perspective photo somehow.

-Anybody ever take a close picture of the wake from outside the boat? I thought of getting a disposable waterproof camera and tubing behind whoever is boarding. (Those things actually take sweet pics, I used one underwater in Cozumel.)

Maybe I just watch too many wakeboarding videos...

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the reason I posted was because I have an SX and wanted a way to bring the seating around to fill the space between the cooler seat and driver seat like the photo shows. Do I order two cushions or is it an assembly?
