I spoke with my sales guy (Bart at paradise Marine) yesterday and he tells me they are doing the gel coat right now.  That usually means that it will be about 10 more working days until it ships.  I should take delivery around the beg of February.  YEAH!

Like anything new I'm sure I will be sitting in it in the driveway, just waiting for it to get warm enough to take out.  I'm sure you're right....  I will take it out when it's still freezing!

I ordered the boat officially on December 3rd.  I told them to take their time, since I had a garage to build.  They arelooking to deliver it the end of Jan or beg of Feb.

so maybe I'll the maybe out of the subjuect line this weekend....
The Bu dealer said if I get the order in within the next 10 days I'd get it late April, so that sounds about right then...  We are just thawing out by then.  Still hesitating.......
Krej-did you sell the Epic or trade it?

Regular BU love fest here. You guys aren't gonna start man-hugging like Kobe and Shaq are you? Really will have to hurl.

Hey, this is turning into a good month. Our local TOYOTA guy's bought a BU, a full HALF of the redneck posse is preparing to do the same and we've got our main Epic stereo pimp AND the Supreme Epic Commander both looking at new boats, armed with checkbooks.

Maybe Capt. Rick will get one too or Nichtern might flex his old contacts and pick them up a pair of new X2's?

Life's too short to drive a boat you don't like. I still get all teary-eyed when I look at mine.

Derek, you make me smile.
Just wondering, but am I considered the 1/2 of the redneck posse?
I was going through my picture files on the computer to gte nice picks, just in case I run an ad, and I got all teary as well.  My S22 has been more than I thought it would be.  It is a sweet little package with a huge heart.  Maybe I'll keep two boats.

Yes, true or not, it's you and that Bitzy character.

I can face up to the fact that buying a boat is not like a marriage certificate. If there's something you want more, by all means, go get it.

That doesn't mean we don't get sad when we see a couple split ways.

A few years ago, our neighborhood went through a bit of 'implants in the water'. It's contagious. So and so gets a rack and the next thing you know, four get it done.

History may look back on this year as "The Great Epic Departure". It'll just be me and Breakwaydaze left trying to figure out what Lesman did and where the villageidiot disappeared to.

And btw, if boat ownership was a marriage, it'd be good to be in Utah as you could have two boats!

Keep them fresh that way.

You and me Freak. In it for the long haul. I'm happy and when I'm happy, i see no reason for change. I've got my five wives and two of are my cousins, so I don't need two boats. Me and the wives love sittin in the SX out in front of the trailer whilst we talk trash with the drunk neighbors. Aint life sweet.

I'm so glad to keep our Bitzy.

You know, the thing is when you get out on Powell and Festivus has that huge BU cranking along with 26 people on board, and you lose sight of him because the chrome blinds you and then he runs over your SX like just any other double up...you'll probably want the bigger boat too. You know, like the SUV impact on the freeways - now everybody's gotta go bigger to keep their family safe from the other big ones. Heck, I've been known to lust after them rotating X-Star board racks, and yeah, for a pocket rocket I'd probably prefer a SAN over an E21.

It's all good. I know the redneck posse will stay intact, they'll just be flying different flags for a while. Fest will trade in his epicmarine.com sticker for a malibuboatowners.com one. Heck, I bet even Powell couldn't swamp a boat that big :-)

I didn't mean to hijack the thread guys, sorry about that.

To answer your question, I sold the Epic, for $23K or something like that.  I wasn't really sure exactly what I was going to do once I sold it, but I couldn't live without a boat!  I'm a horrible moocher.

Just in case Derek didn't make it clear, you guys own GREAT boats that are superior in many ways to 90% of the boats out there.... the powerplant being the most obvious.  If you don't have a bug for a new boat just for the sake of gettting smelling that new car smell. and if your current boat suits your needs, you can save yourself ALOT of time and money and just enjoy that Epic!

What is the reason(s) that you would want to consider selling your Epic?

Good advice Krejci. Since I'm getting too lazy to search through the archives...is the person you sold it to on the website? And was he from Elsinore?

well, since it isn't a secret anyomre about my redneck heritage, I'll let ya'll in on a family secret...I married bitzy's daughter who is actually my neice.  Keep it in the family, we always say.
And I still have the S22, I ain't dead in the water, and if I do go for the 247, I'm still gonna be a part of this forum, so you can't get rid of the inbreeder.
I also don't mean to sound like a moron, but I haven't even seen a 247 yet.  The BU dealer here has 2 of them at the boat show this weekend, so that'll be my inaugural peek.  Perhaps this entire thread is a little premature.

Fest,

Let me be sure I understand- your wife's children will be her cousins - right?
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.
