Epic wakeboat pics
« on: February 06, 2006, 07:02:58 am »
so here is the boat, I stole the pictures from wakeworld.  I know I have said it before about the "Epic" name and all, but to go so far as to use the same font-style lettering?  Come on, don't u think that is a bit too much?  I know I won't be a "true" Epic owner for long, but that is ridiculous.

Nice Alabama Bass Boat paint job! (Not that there's anything wrong with that)

brad- what an otpimist!  I think the black one was a lot nicer as well.  They must have done their market research is Arkansas or 'Bama.

I like the camo, but not for a twenty-year boat. Remember this is the boat Chris made for DVS shoes. Production models won't have that stuff, and if I recall, this camo is a vinyl wrap - the gelcoat is white. Not Arctic White and True Blue, but white nonetheless.

Wakeworld is doing a bit of slamming on him right now due to his price hike. My guess at the problem is that it's been a year since the boat's been public and there's just not been enough exposure to it. There are a ton of wakeworlders and only a few have ridden behind it. There's only a little video out there that I'm aware of (did see it pulling a wakeskater on Pull).

Chris is humping for sure, but it'd sure be nice if there had been a dozen boats out there for the past year doing demo days in all the big markets. When the natives get restless, they start talking $hit.

that is nice to know it isn't a production color package.  I don't suppose the Logo is for promotional purposes as well?  I'd love to ride behind one.  Sort of see what it is all about.  I almost forgot those guys were out there.

I think there are only two boats so far. He might be ready to crank them out, who knows?

For that kind of cash, the 247 (more like 747;) is the ticket. I should come out there and get a pull when I'm picking up that SX from Marine Products. I might do it.

I missed that one. I am on the fence, I am so attached to my boat because my kids grew up in it, but I'd really like an SX with all the bells and whistles and a lot fewer hours for the long run. I do like to look at Boo's and CC's and MC's, but I would be losing so much in efficiency and ease of maintenance, and gaining very little if anything. My boat still does everything well, and after riding behind an '04 210 TE, my wake is not that different when I'm loaded out. It's not as snappy out of the hole, but the wake is very similar.
