Dennis-where did you gt those specs from?  I read Toyota wasn't releasing any numbers till closer to launch...not that I don't LIKE those figures...dang!
Also check out this link, there are a lot of pictures of the new truck.

Being a new car manager at a Toyota store in Oregon, I went to a meeting in Portland with Toyota and they gave us some figures, very close estimates.  They told us there will be a 3/4 and 1 ton in about 2-3 years.  They also told us that there will be a hybrid in the future and there will probably not be a diesel.  Very exciting stuff coming.  There was no discussion on a new Sequoia, although it is due for a complete redesign and will probably have the new 5.7 motor.

Whenever I go to one of these meetings, one of the Toyota reps asks me about my boat.  My reply is always "Boats, Toyota never made any boats???"  Then they reply back, "ya, thats right, did we ever build boats??"

The new Autoweek said to expect 350hp and 350 ftlbs torque...not too shabby, too bad I just got that Titan...
Hopefully the Seuquioa isn't far off...

Fest,

380-385hp and 400-425torque is what was thrown out by the regional truck manager.  In actuality it may be less when they go into production.  They also promised us that Toyota would be class leading(1/2 ton) in hp, torque and fuel economy, while competitive in tow capacity and payload capacity.

Did you get the offroad package on your Titan?  I have heard that fuel economy on the offroad package is horrible, 8-10 mpg, I think it's because of different rear end gears.   Not that my Tundra Dcab gets very good mileage.  Last year going to Lake Roosevelt I was able to get 7mpg going there with the overdrive off and 9mpg coming home with the overdrive on.  Pretty lousy mileage!!

My 04 Titan got 15-17mpg and it had the off-road pkg.  My '06 is getting llike 12mpg, but it only has 3k on it, so I think as it loosens up a bit that may change.  It doesn't have the off-roady.  I do love the power though...

Looks promising, but I think I will stick with GM for my tow vehicles.  The Tundra is a good truck, but my TrailBlazer with the 4.2L I6 engines pulls it just fine over a pass and for ~330mi with 1 15min fuel stop.  Also, I need an SUV for my daily running around, a pickup wouldnt do me a lot of good except sit in my driveway until I absolutely needed the 10K towing capacity, as my TB can tow ~5200lbs no prob.

My next truck will be the Chevy TrailBlazer SS, you can get fulltime AWD, the LS2 6.0L V8 (Vette engine), and upgraded suspension for a base of $33K plus some other upgrades that come with the SS package.  It can tow 6800lbs (2WD) or 6600lbs (AWD) from the factory, and still hit 0-60 in 5.5sec!! ;D
