2000 X22 in Wisconsin 4Sale
« on: March 02, 2006, 19:28:12 pm »
I am the current owner of a 2000 X22. It has low hours (I need to check as soon as I reconnect the battery) new Polished Aluminum tower (Painted white tower rattled and chipped so Toyota put a new one on), Heater, 4 and 3 blade prop, One Wakeboard rack, extra fat sacs and has been cared for with the utmost care! I have extra Toyota Marine Stickers for the side of the boat if anything would happen to the existing. I also had the white rub rail replaced with a black due to the staining on the white. We love this boat and are sad that we have to sell it. It brings a tear to my eye when I think that in 5 years, when I can afford another boat, that I will have to buy a Malibu or Mastercraft!?

I will have pictures as soon as I can get it out of storage.

I found some pics...

That's my second-favorite color scheme - just like Cal, the VillageIdiot's except he's got a black tower. Good luck selling that pretty thing! Hate to say welcome and goodbye in the same post...have you been a lurker or did you just find the site? Make sure you add the boat to the registry and that you turn on the new owners to our site. We'd love to hear your boat's story when you've got time to share. Consider adding yourself to the Frapper site, too.

Thanks, it is a "Great" Epic. We Love it! It has been well kept! According to NADA guides with trailer $27,000. I never installed the factory Accuski. I drove an Epic with it and did not think that it was necessary or worth the $$. I thought that the boat tracked well and the throttle was solid enough to live with out it.

I live in Wausau, WI - about 3 hours northwest of Milwaukee. I purchased the Epic new from Jack Safro Toyota in Brookfield, WI. The Epic has spent 95% of its time with me on Lake Nikomis in Tomahawk, WI .

Thanks,

Mike

We drag our Epic right past Nikomis every summer on our annual pilgrimage from Milwaukee to Lac du Flambeau.
Who services your boat up there?  It'd be good to know someone reliable in the Wausau/Minoqua area.

I have done all of the service work on it since Toyota stop manufacturing. I have a good friend that also has a X22 (red) in Wausau. He is the service manager at the local Toyota Dealer and he was okay-ed by Bill (With Toyota) to do service/warranty work on our two boats. Rob would contact Bill, and he would send us all the "stuff" we would need to do the service.

Let me know when you drive up! We could get a couple sessions in on your way through! Water is still hard here. Getten the itch supposed to be in the 40s this week!

Yeah, there's still 9-10 inches of ice on Pewaukee Lake.  Ice fishing anyone?

Anymore pics and info. hours, shower, etc.? First one I've seen [or noticed] with a single axle trailer. Unusual? Trailer rating?

I have a 2000 s22 with a single axle trailer and it is fine. The bearings are HUGE...much larger than the double axle bearings (as Pete can atest) and they rated it for the weight of the boat, so there's no worries there.

I thought I got jipped on a trailer when i saw everyone else with a double axle, but checked with TOYOTA and they did indeed have a single axle setup straight from the factory.

Ours has a single axle and we take a couple of 1,000 mile laps around Wisconsin each summer from Milwaukee to Lac du Flambeau to Superior/Duluth and back.  Never a problem with the trailer.

You've got to check your tire stems every year for dry rot, however, or you could have a blowout.

One of my best friends offered me $25k. He has everything ready to go from the bank and I am now having sellers remorse! I do not want to sell it! Do you guys think that 25k is a good price or is he getting to good of a deal?

Sorry, I have no other information. I have been traveling for work and have not had a chance to get into the boat yet. As soon as I do I will post that info. I can tell you that there is no shower. I prefer a single axle trailer for quicker turning response.

Depressing this is!

25K is pretty good for an X22, not too much but not too cheap. Yours appears to be in excellent shape. It's goin' to your buddy, so you'll still get to use it, right?

Derek - I hear you on that!  No dry rot there!

Mike - I'll send you an e-mail once we know when we are heading up Hwy 51 this summer.

Roger that stem dryrot. I learned the hard way on the highway. Replaced with chrome valve stems, Not valve covers, which are pointless as they just cover the rubber stem.
