Someone could probably get the 2002 SX for a good price since the dealer doesn't even care enough to clean it up before they take pictures to post.

I may have to pay them a visit and get the HIN.

The 02 is at the same dealer that was selling the EOS poser boat. Proceed with caution.

I EMAILED LAST WEEK ABOUT THE SX. IT HAS 400 HOURS, NO COVERS AT ALL. REAR SEAT CUSHION IS MISSING, ENGINE SIDE COVERS ARE MISSING. THIS IS A PROJECT BOAT.  DEALER SAID TWICE IN HIS EMAIL "THIS IS A BANK REPO". HE ALSO STATED  "WE DO NOT RELEASE HIN NUMBERS UNTIL THE TRANSACTION IS COMPLETE". SOUNDS A LITTLE SHADY. AS BITZCO STATED PROCEED WITH CAUTION. SOME TIMES A GOOD DEAL IS TOO GOOD.

It doesn't even sound like that great of a deal- $28,500?? or something.  I mean, it is completely trashed.  Are those the "02 SX decals?  I haven't seen them before.

toyotafreak-anything I should know about the seller on the first one? I haven't talked to him yet because of what he's offering and the price. If it gets down to $20k I might change my mind though.

I emailed the repo business and here is what he had to say about the boat:

This boat is a bank repo that we are selling for the bank.  We know that the
motor runs but haven't checked out everything in the boat.  The boat wasn't
winterized by the last owner so a few of the freeze plugs popped out and the
oil cooler end popped off.  The oil cooler has been fixed and the plugs are
in the process of being replaced.  There is not a cushion in the middle.  It
must have flown out when the boat was repossessed.  I would imagine one
could get one made for $100.

The upholstery seems to be in good shape.

Hope this helps any one out who is looking at this boat.

I figure 6 weeks max and we can let the new season begin here in frosty Colorado.  4-8 inches forcast for tonight though, so hopefully it dumps it's load and moves on...

I stopped by Executive Boat and checked on the 2002 SX.

The HIN is TMME2009G102.  I tried to add it to our boat registry but wasn't sure is loaded.  Lesman?

I didn't see any flaws other than the spare tire mount is bent, the fender is dinged, the missing middle cushion and no bimini or cover!  The dealer is leaving it out in the weather?

It has a heater, shower, dock lights, kenmore speakers, no stereo face plate.  I didn't have time to talk to the dealer so I don't know about the condition of the engine.

The engine side panels are in the boat.

It needs a good cleaning and a caring owner.

brad, my bad. I'm still programming the boat registry and the boat you saved is in a test database, so no worries there.

As you found, I have the process set up for when you want to add a new boat to the registry. Where it gets tricky is if your boat is ALREADY in the registration database WITHOUT a HIN number. There's no easy way to UPDATE your boat adding the TMS data. I know it sounds like a no brainer, but php/mysql has it's challenges. Since the HIN is the unique identifier, if you don;t have it, well, you may just have to re-enter your info. That's what I'm trying to avoid. I would manually update everyones, but without a HIN, i don;t know which boat to merge.

Anyway, i hope over the next few days to have it all worked out so that those folks who have already entered a boat without a HIN can merge the data with the official data.
