Shower Hose Box Repair
« on: March 20, 2006, 22:00:41 pm »
When I winterized my SX for the first time, I removed the aft panel behind the engine and noticed why my shower hose had a hole in it.  The shower hose box had pushed up against the engine which carved a nice cutout in the plastic box and cut a hole in the shower hose.

With the help of Capt Rick and Bill, we determined that the replacement shower box also doubles as the Seat Helm cover.

Since the clearance between the engine and the shower hose box was so small, I modified the replacement box by trimming the sides to make it square instead of tapered sides.  This makes the inside volume of the box smaller but gives more clearance so the engine won't rub up against it in the future.

The shower hose box has a screw on each side that fastens into a plastic block that is attached to the aft engine panel.  You can see one of the white plastic blocks as you look into the hole that my engine created on the shower hose box.

The red hose (hot for shower) is connected to the hose that runs to the heater.

Here are the hose connections to the engine for the heater.

Thanks for the info, Brad. We need more people to document this kind of crap, it will be incorporated into the learning process in the worldwide Toyota Epic collective knowledgebase consortium of best practices and Sick Sigma blackbelt projects to ensure enabled learning and crosscoupled crossfunctionalization without redundancies while enabling harvesting of "pull through" business and market capitalization.

How's that for corporatespeak BS:)
