Thanks Brad, good job. Being the inconsistent dumba$$ that I am, I didn't take the time to photogragh the cockpit when I had almost every cushion out. In fact, the only cushions that were left were the hatch and trunk lid!
The rest of the seat back cushions are as you show - mostly the cushions use bolts that are anchored inside of the cushion but stick out through 1" holes in the gelcoat. Once in place, you just use fender washers and nyloc nuts to secure the threaded posts (and cushion back) snug to the gelcoat. Some of the nuts are pretty hard to get to, especially in the bow area. You pull the speaker out and then reach fourteen feet aft with a wrench ;-)
The big word of caution here is that if you really crank the nuts down, I think it would be possible to pull the threaded stud through the seat back. You'd have to work at it, but once pulled trhough, I don't think you'd get it back in and would have to resort to other means.
It seems that there were a few places where stainless sheet metal screws were used, possibly on the forward end of the observers seat

It was three years ago..
Finally, a couple of the cushions have an aluminum bracket that the seat back slides on to and then gets bolted down.
Best advice I can give is just the no-brainer of "take your time and don't force anything".
I pulled mine out because it was going in for gelcoat work (patching tower mounting holes). If I were to do it again, I'd probably try harder to find a way to mask the cushions instead of removing them. The problem is that with gelcoat repairs so high on the gunnel, any of that mess could end up in the boat and that kind of freaks me out.
