Well,  the X22 on Ebay sold last night for $15,655!  Sounds like a lot of $$ for a repo boat that is all torn up.  Needs all seats redone, new prop, no one has any idea how many hours are on it, it is all scraped up, the trailer is rusted out and although they say it runs great, the photos show no oil cap on the engine and half the cover screws missing.  I think you could easy spend 8-10k on this boat and it still not be right!  Hopefully the buyer will post and let us know the condition and progress!  It could also be this years steal!

Yeah it could be a $3k project or a $15k project.  My dad is retired and likes projects but I told him of the "uncertainties" and he said he doesn't like to gamble - in classic cars at least he can tell what he is getting into, here we have no idea.  The boat would be worth well into the 20's if it were in the condition most of our boats are.  I am sure the buyer will eventually find the way here.

Hey Guys & Gals-
I have already found my way here before I made that Winning BID!!!  You guys sound awesome and I am glad I am part of the "club"...  AS Far as the condition of the boat I am staying level minded and not trying to get my hopes up to much.  I am trying to pick up the boat Thursday May 11th and tow it back to TENNESSEE... Looks like I will be the first EPIC in TN on the Map.  I have made alot of money on these "uncertainties" on my two latest projects so I hope this turns out to be one of them.  My plans are to keep this in the Family for long while and Maybe hookup with all those guys in GA this summer...  If they have plans on that doing that Epic hookup again.  A little about me: I just spent 11 months in the IRAQ and since i have been home I have lusted after a nice boat so when I ran across then it seemed like a great deal to me.  SO, If you guys have some advice for the newest Epic Owner - give me shout...  Haha- I had to sell my Jetskis & maybe even my motorcycle to buy this bad boy so lets all hope its a steal.   I am 22 years old and still in college so LIFE IS GOOD but it just got ALITTLE BIT BETTER... haha

Keep us posted, lots of good advice here!  Before you drag it home, make sure you grease the hubs on the trailer (something tells me they might need it) and for cryin out loud, get a oil fill cap for the motor!  The project has a lot of promise, it might just need time and alot of elbow grease!   I Would love to see it at the yet to be announced SE Epic roundup this summer!  I am confident the Ramblin Wreck (where are you) has already gotten it planned.  Good Luck!

I'm sure you can get 'r fixed up. Look forward to meeting you and seeing the boat this summer! Let us know if you need any help, there may even be a few spare parts floating around that we can help with.

Yeah- Well the Boat will be right outside of Nashville in a town called Murfreesboro. ?I will probably use Center Hill Lake which is only about 40 mins away but when I am Memphis (with the family) we will use Pickwick Lake at the state park dam. ?If anyone is fimiliar with those locations. ?If the "Epic Roundup" is within a few hours from Tennessee I'll try and make it out and show her off. ? I have already email Kurt at Atlanta Marine to try and order that Oil Cap and see if he has any opinions on how to get those gauges working. ?I can't wait to get her on the water.... ?I am sure you can all understand that. ?If I take this to another local Marine will they be willing to work on Epic's? ?I would like to have all the fuilds changed out just to be on the safe side. ?I am going to talking a Vacation and flying out of ATL in a few weeks so I might just tow her down to Kurt and let him handle all her work till I get back. ?UNLESS, anyone recommends another place or contact. ?Yall let me know what you think... Thanks

We are definitely havng the 2nd Annual Great Southeastern Epic Roundup this summer - there, consider it announced! I have no idea of who, what, where or how but I do know the Why. Several new boats have come into the area since the 1st Annual Gre... well, since last year. We should be able to get about 7 or 8 Epics together this summer (double that of last year). Heck, toss in some extra beer and a Tech Session moderated by Cyclone(can't get any better than that) and ToyotaFreak may even drive over. Heck, it is only 2 inches on the map - the key is to use the right map.
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.

Taking the boat to ATL marine would not be a bad idea, Tony Cato is the mechanic that knows Toyotas and he is back with them again.

As for the Round up, definitely a good idea! I'm sure Derek has a few Skymiles he can burn, if not, I do.

Welcome Tenn. I use ATL marina and have had good luck with them. Tony knows these boats well and actually dropped a new motor in mine before I bought it. Previous owner got a bad winterization from a mobil winerization co. and toasted the engine. Plus, when I bought it with 80 hours on it, i went ahead and got the full tune wih new plugs and all just to have a clean slate.

I'll throw out June as a targe date for the SE roundup. Count me in if it's before August 21. I got number 2 on the way and wifey is due around then.

Hey Wreck,

Have you gotten the cover off of your boat yet?  How did it fare the winter on the Lift?  Did you get it set up for the season?
