need help 01 epic running bad

hello new owner of 2001 epic boat ran great first 10 hours got in boat next time would crank and idle but had no power . but now it will start and run about one second and go dead un hook air mass meter and it will start and run. replaced air meter same thing put on lexus scaner and it will not read computer or codes.can anyone help or tell some one i can take it to for repaires i am in the birmingham alabama thanks

I'm not sure, but Pfetzer Valve comes to mind.  I'm sure one of the techies on here will get you squared away if that doesn't do it.

Hey fest,

Is that a "Fletch" reference? It's made up right?


On to the topic,

A few possibilities come to mind:

Bad Gas and the computer is ticked - have you tried turning the Perko off and seeing if it behaves the same (shuts down immediately).

Vapor lock

Clogged fuel pump/filter/screen/line causing low fuel pressure

One of the fuel pumps is bad

Go in the Maintenance section and find the doc about how to manually run the fuel pump(s).  This may help you isolate the issue.

Dockside repair - $300. plus plane ticket.

You need to see if fuel pumps are working and you have a fresh set of plugs.
