Pete,
When you get around to making your mods (Ballast, Mondo Stereo, Stealth mode) I would like to come over and see "the master" at work.  I want to make all the mods (sans the stealth mode) but don't feel like I have the mechanical ability.  I would hate to mess up my S-22.
Thanks,
Dave

My S-22 is up at Lake Arrowhead.  I live in North Atlanta.  Easy enough drive.

Cyclone,

Where did you ship your SX from and to?  I'm getting ready to move to Atlanta from WA state and trying to get an idea how much it would cost to ship boat.  Would appreciate any info.........Greg

Skregs,
Glad to have you in the dirty south, I love it here. It cost me 2500$ to ship. I had bids as low as 1300 and as high as 5k but this guy had great feedback and he lives in Duluth, Ga., about 10 minutes from me.

Did he trailer it himself? or Did he put it on a trailer?

The only people I found with credible feedback that would move it all wanted to tow it. So, I got the guy with the best feedback, he's towing it. He's going south to miss the weather. Luckily, it's got a Rankin cover which is the best towing cover you can buy.

He's on his way right now:) I'll probably get it early next week. It should be warming up by then, I might get to start my wakeboard season before I go skiing in Austria at the end of the month:) Gotta love it, work trip to Germany.

I have a place on Arrowhead and, of course, the only epic on the lake.  As soon as it gets warmer I'll be ready.  Enjoy your trip.

The boat has officially arrived! Took me about 20 min to get the cover off, but it is totally perfect inside and out. The boat is in amazing condition. I had been out on it before, and seen it several times, but it is really a time capsule. It's amazing what 280 hrs in the hands of a meticulous Marine vs. 685 with a lunatic owner, dozens of drivers and hundreds of people that have been in my boat. A large percentage (30%+?!!) of my passengers were small children. Still, my boat looks mint for the most part. This boat is at another level. Like mine, it was even kept outside.

Totally bonus, the trailer has a swing-away tongue, I can get it in my garage.

Rankin is the only cover I will ever buy, absolutely amazing. The interior is perfectly clean. No gelcoat damage from straps, nothing. It's not a waterline cover but for towing and storage it can't be beat. The guy that towed it has towed over 30 boats cross country, says its the best he's seen.

He said the same about our trailers, the Ameratrails that is. He said it was the best trailer out of 30 cross country tows, he's done Donzis and other cool stuff. I would say that our trailers are nice but look at Boatmate trailers with the oil bath bearings, etc. He did say that the back axle looks crooked. My original one is crooked too.

There is not a scratch on the boat or trailer that wasn't there when he left. It isn't really dirty, either. He even called Terry because he saw a dent in the trailer fender at some point in the trip. It was something that Terry did a long time previous.

This guy is a real gentleman, he was totally professional and the boat arrived in perfect condition. He went south through California and the desert to avoid the weather. I can recommend him highly. He has a Ford F150 with a V6. yep. I didn't think to ask when I met him on the way out, he had a banged up Harley in the back, I figured it had a V8. But, he knows what he can do and can't do, and has done it many times. His name is Steve, he lives ten miles from me and may find his ass at the next Epic roundup, he loves boats.

Here are a couple pics, I gotta go lay down.

;D Congrats on the new boat ;D
Looks like my twin. Your gonna love that SX. I loved my old E22, but the things I do for my SX are over the top. I should probably seek professional help. I wish I had gotten a pic with both my epic's before I sold the E22. So I'm expecting to see a pic of both of yours. It's like having a mini Epic round up. Don't sweat not selling your first, I thought i was never gonna sell it and the weekend before Memorial day the flood gates opened. All I did for three days was answer questions and show it. I barely had time to eat! No joke.

ENJOY!!!!
OVER 800 HRS ON 2 EPICS.

Congrats Pete!  You have to take pics of both boats together!  I always wish I had!  Looking forward to seeing it at the roundup!  Hopefully we will have two roundups this summer. Les, Hector, Wreck, Yourself and Me, thats five right away, plus whoever is lucky enough to buy your boat, maybe we could get closer to 10 this year.
