I was scared when I read the "approach the ranger form the rear", but then saw the melon talk. All I gotta say about that kind of shopping is that the girlfriends usually start with, "oh, you could easily carry some melons" even though she's been looking for honeydews and you're happy with pomegranats. The question shouldn't be "how much can your cart carry", it should be "how much are you hungry for." The thing about melons is that everybody (even your family) will want a piece if it's big and juicy enough - that's not always so fun for you or her. Nice fresh honeydew can sort of fly below that particular radar when needed, but makes a great centerpiece when called for.
Luckily, mom went the way of the honeydew, but then with the newest kid, they've ripened just a friggin BIT. Got about five more months before we find out if they return to honeydew or
