Dunno what happened, can't blame it on Microsoft as I'm on a Unix server!
ANYWAY the boats retailed for around 40 to 60 k, depending on model. They were a little high for the market at the time, but they were costing Toyota an average of 62.5k per boat to make. I suppose that included all the infrastructure costs, parts and the automated web based parts ordering system. Many boats (mine) sold new for much less than that. I bought my 2000 Epic 22 with Millenium package for 34k. Pretty good deal at the time, and the financing was less than 1/2 of the closest competitor. That was the clincher for me, plus the implicit quality of the Toyota name. I'm still VERY happy, and wouldn't sell for another make because of what I would lose. I have looked at them all. The other boat I was looking at ($5 less a month) was a Moomba Outback LS. My god I am glad I didn't buy that boat, even with all things considered. I would like to buy another Toyota, a 2001 SX with all the stuff. I travel too much to use one boat, so I really don't need two. Still, my eyes are open. The prices will drop over the next couple of years.
