New Epic sx owner
« on: August 01, 2006, 12:39:40 pm »
I have just bought an Epic SX and am looking for information about the boat so i can order parts etc. I am looking to get the diameter of the tower and the vertical bars if they are oval or not. Has anyone put the mannual online for spec etc. I am also looking to see does anyone know what type and make of head unit came in the 2002 boats.
I am looking for a back middle cushion also. I want to order Perfect Pass can someone tell me the size of the dials. Anyone got a bimini or can recommend one for the tower.
Also looking for a cover for the boat all over cover or two seperates.
Thanks any help would be greatlly appreciated.

Robbie,

Welcome!  I also have a 2002 SX and recently installed PP.  Assuming you have the black (graphite looking) dash know as Millennium edition, you will need the larger 5" dials.  Also, be sure to tell them you have the V-drive because they need to send you the longer cord.  I have the factory bimini, but I had to move my speakers above the tower to allow it to fold-up without hitting the speakers.  As for parts, Capt Rick has made it easy to find the parts you need.  Go to the TMS parts tab at the top right of the page and enter in a simple description in the search tab (like "cover").  Also, search the forums and you will find great discussions on biminis, radios, and PP.  Under the Maintenance tab you will also find a lot of useful information including the owners manual!  Again, welcome!  Don't forget to post pictures.

Ktown,
Your boat looks like the one in the photoshoots and factory pics that I posted from the 2002 brochure. They didn't make many 02 SX's, that color combo is definitely unique.

:D Yeah, the purple and yellow paint scheme seems to be as unique as the Toyota boat around here. It's amazing how many people ask me if it really is a Toyota, and where the nearest dealer is!  My friends have no problem finding me on the lake.
