i consider it phenomenal that it still runs and looks as great as it does ..
As Breakaway says, mistakes were made by both. He is also so very, very correct when he says that I am a happy buyer. He and I can both look back and laugh (at least I can) when recalling the incredibly drawn out process of selling his prized E21 to me. While Breakaway could have used the word phenominal to describe the boat, the condition of the boat spoke for itself. In a digital world, buyers rightfully expect (or should demand) detailed pictures of anything they are buying. It also works to the seller's advantage in managing the buyer's expectations-
Not being quite as savvy as Breakaway, I humbly offer the following:
Buyer - of course you want to spend time in the boat while on water so why the heck do you show up at 1AM??? Work something out with a seller before you travel to be sure you will have the time needed to check out the boat while RUNNING and on the water.
Seller - well, I think the above quote says a lot. You call yourself a Toyota enthusiest yet say something like that?

You say that you can get the vinyl fixed for $50 but you don't do it? You say the driver's seat is a "little torn up" but describe the boat's condition as phenominal? You then post pictures of the boat showing everything EXCEPT the driver's seat??? You have an excuse for everything else wrong with the boat such as the dead battery and rear seat. You list every nickel spent on the sound system, including a $24.99 Perko switch, yet seem completely unaware that someone else may think the condition of the upholstery is a major concern??? You are probably now going to get upset when I question your definition of "runs like a champ"

(especially after your quote above)
You keep trying to compare yourself to the other owners on the website, giving props to those that support your posts yet frosty to those that question your posts. I suspect that you are trying to use an association with the website as a way of marketing your boat more than actually sharing the views of most here....I just don't think you understand what the word phenominal means to members of this website or the extremes most here will go to be sure they keep their boats that way. Using the boat extensively for tons of fun and yet maintaining it well are not mutually exclusive as proven by the master - Cyclone.
Hey Les - we should be good for 11 more now-
