Pete, you crack me up... Congrats on the set-up, sounds like you're having fun.  Good choice on amps and subs!

And Derek, it's good to hear from you again!  Loved the Pete sighting pic.  It was funny because when I looked at the original, I actually thought noticed the reflection.  Glad you called him out on it.

Flyn, the Optima I had is just the off-the-shelf blue-top.  Bought mine from Sears.  They have terminals on top and sides so that it is compatible with most applications.  And for the record, IT DOES NOT FIT WELL.  It is very snug. You have to wiggle it in, and literally PRY it out when the battery quits.  I used a hammer and cut-up my hands pretty badly.  That being said, it's worth it.  Though I was not happy with the life span of Optima number 1 -- only 3 summers.

Old topic, I know. I just bought a 10W6 JL to go in parallel with my 12W6 off the same big ass cheap amp. I already have the enclosure built and the heater relocated to the side of it. I mounted my 6 channel preamp too, it was just tossed up in the space behind the drivers footpanel. Gotta run another 4 ga. black and red to the amp bigger fuse and add another battery, but I wanna rock ROCK! dun dun a nuhh........
