gps cruise control
« on: March 10, 2009, 06:37:27 am »
Is there one we can put on our boats.  I would rather put this in then perfect pass if at all possible.  Plus it is more accurate right?

Perfect Pass Star Gazer IS GPS based. The only other maker is ZERO OFF and they will not work on our boats.
http://www.perfectpass.com/pp_star_gazer.html You would need the mechanical version for the Epic. I put in Star Gazer last year and it works as promised.

I am installing Perfect Pass Wakeboard pro with GPS this week. I will let you know how it goes.  The PP people are familiar with the unique Toyota setup.

I am eager to hear how the install went on the perfect pass GPS system. Sounds like a sweet solution. Not that we should be thinking about it here yet... temperatures refuse to stay above freezing for more than a day at a time. Kids are still going to the hill, not the lake, to go skiing.

I had to go out of town so I wasn't able to finish.  I will post a few pics when I get er done.  While I was at it I put in the Millennium dash pieces and changed the steering wheel.  It looks sweet.

Mine is the X22 year 2000 with old style dash. How much to purchase the new dash and steering wheel? I agree... I personally like them much better.

Got PP Stargazer installed by myself.  Thanks to the maintenance section it was pretty straight forward even for a non mechanical person like me.  I followed the directions except that there is no requirement for a paddle wheel so no drilling required!  I made a small mount for the GPS antenna when I was switching out the dash panels.
I took her out for a short shakedown cruise today and it worked very well.  I could not be more pleased with the speed control and the large display.

I have the accuski servo assembly (servo, cable, bracket). I bought it from accuski but never put it on.  I could probably pull out all the installed wiring (also never used) if you are interested
