original owner bought the boat new put 48 hours on it and stored it in a warehouse till 2006 when he sold it to his friend.
I bought the boat off that friend with 174 hours last year and he had the timing belt and water pump done in 2011 by the Lexus car dealership.
I ran the boat last summer only and it now has 200 hours.
From Fig #4 I removed:
http://www.epicmarine.com/figures/e_Fig_4.php2- COVER,SUB-ASSY,TIMING BELT,NO.3 RH
9- COVER SUB-ASSY,TIMING BELT,NO.2
I re-installed the necessary parts, ran the engine and took a new video. Then I removed the serpentine tensioner assembly and the alternator and took new pics:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/63w04dpdovue315/AAByaeubtGyOiB1KAhuHGE2JaI can now clearly see the water leaking from around the water pump assembly, I can see it through two small oval holes in the top left and either the same water leaking down or another leak on the far left by a mounting bolt. All the parts where water has been dripping are brown.
I'm assuming my next step is to remove the timing belt and replace the water pump and gasket since the belt is only 40 hours old I'm not sure if its necessary to change again?
is the water pump in our boats the exact same as a 1999 SC400? what else will i need?
Any help or comments are greatly appreciated guys.
