PP is installed and today the head gasket blows out on my durango.  So much for putting my boat in the water to test it out :(!!!!!!!!

Yep, need a Tundra.....  Turns out it was the freeze plugs and not the headgasket and guess what, freeze plugs not covered by warrenty!#$R#@  They want $2600 to change the freeze plugs and water pump, I said BS!!!!!! I'M COMING TO PICK IT UP.

Dude,

Check out the solution to your Durango problem on the left. I just sold my Landcruiser to pick up this sweet ride. Now I can tow the boat, camp in comfort at the lake, cook, and impress the hotties all at once. With this and the pep club, I now know what that song "Love Shack" is all about. I can hook you up with one.

Seriously though, I drive 40 to 50K miles a year and about 20K of that is off road. I hate to rip on your vehicle, but from personal and friends' who do the same things experience, Durangos suck. Good power, but bad mileage, rattles and squeaks everywhere, bumpy ride,  and many a breakdown. I haven't driven the new ones with the HEMI, and I probably won't. I've driven about everything on and off road (except a hummer and Range Rover) and nothing can hold a candle to my Landcruiser, nothing.

dude, Bitzco, you are clueless.  The Kia Sportage kicks it !!!  The offroad capabilities of my Sportage are unparalleled.  I can take it up 3-6% grades in low gear and the clearance is high.  I am not sure of the exact specs, but I cleared some pretty large stones the other day on my way up to the campsite.  I can also fit most of my gear in the back, and what I can't fit, I probably don't need anyways (My wife is still TO'd that I "forgot" her cot and sleeping bag)
I am getting the factory tow package installed this summer so I look tough pulling the S22 to the lake.
But the best thing about the Sportage is the looks I get when I'm cruising.  I was rolling by the front of Wal Mart yesterday with the 10's pounding and everyone was like, "Check that out!"  I felt pretty pimpin'.  My wife doesn't me driving it by the high school, she's afraid the hotties will mob me, actually, mob the Sportage.
So I'll let you know how the KIA handles towing the boat, but I'm sure if it is anything like I am imagining, I won't be let down.

 ;D You two kill me!!!
Thought I would be starting a new post for this one, but the title says it all.
PERFECT PASS 4 ME!!!! Ordering it today.  I'm so excited about it I had to write about it before I actully ordered it. Cal, Row Sham Bo to see who's boat we do first..
Replaced the impeller yesterday and after I put it all back togeather and rechecked everything I fired her up. Wouldn't fire and I spent 5 min stressing and looking for why it would not fire ( note to self: always check the kill switch first). Fired up like she was on the lake yesterday. Only problem was the small leak comming from the H2O pump. Turns out when I put the back cover on a very small edge of the gasket got pinched during the install (Luckly I saved the old one which was still good). Back togeather now and works perfect. I will be taking her down to the lake for a spin this afternoon to finalize everything and maybe get a few rides in.

Well good news is I took it to the 5-star ford (Sam Packs five star ford) where i bought it and they said they'd take care of it for free.  I am still mad though because Huffines Dodge charged me 110 bucks to tell me that it was the freeze plugs and tried to nail me with the big bill.  I argued with the (Huffines) service manager and paid the 110 but i am going to go back and get my money back soon as I have the durango back.

I decided to change my profile pic to the Sportage. As you can see, I went with the upgrades- alloy wheels, roof rack, 4x4 package, etc.  She's a real head-turner.  I called the local Kia dealer, Pisa Crappe Autos, and they said my trailer package would be in tomorow.  For all of you guys contemplating buying a Sportage like me, to tow the Epic with, I'll let you know how she handles the load.  Just throw it in 4 low and cruise right up the boat ramp.

FYI- John Heder (aka Napoleon Dynamite) was recently cast in a movie called Bench Warmers (?) with Rob Schneider and David Spade.  It is about some older "kids" who form a baseball team and then play leittle leagers so that they can finally be winners at something.

Have you taken that Sporty Sportage off any cool jumps?

yeah, I got like 3 feet of air, but  had a killer twin-buster on the landing.  The steering column is a little bit obtrusive.
