I had that problem on my Epic22 for years. I fixed it by running a new 8 gauge power and ground wire from the Perko and negative battery terminal to the DECC switchbox posts under the dash. I measured the voltage at the dash and it was low, especially under full throttle. I put a fuse in the hot lead right after the perko switch. 10 gauge is enough, but I run lots of accessories.

The factory hot and ground to the DECC box takes a circuitous route, and goes through a lot of connectors, and that funky circuit breaker box. Paralleling another pair of wires fixed all my dash porblems.

I'll end up doing the same thing I did on my old boat, run a pair of wires to a terminal strip under the dash, then wiring off that. I'll also run another pair and install another term strip for accessory power from the second battery bank.

Here's the best place I've found to get marine power wire.

Thanks cyclone, I will probably end up doing this in the very near future then.  I may request some pix/instructions from your experience...I haven't really stuck my head under the dash much so I don't exactly know what I will be looking at.  Thanks again.
