Apparently the weather is going to cooperate as requested. It sounds as if Saturday AM is the general concensus as to when to gather. The water stays glassy until around 9:30-10:00AM when the boats and wind begin to stir it up some. Cyclone has picked a good campsite. It will be right across from the "private" boat ramp accessible only to campers. The Payne's Creek public boat ramp is to the south.
Once again, my place is on Payne's Creek about where marker PC6 would be if the last marker were not #5! It has a bright yellow GT banner, can't miss it. In fact, DNR swears it is the reason wakeboarders aim for my dock. Let's just say that UGA is well represented at the lake. The real reason is that the center channel markers 4 and 5 line you up to take dead aim toward my dock instead of going wide to stay in the "middle" of the creek. This will make sense when you see the set up. Keep this in mind considering I am a grumpy old man that gets tired of being tossed around all day by the likes of, well, .....us.
Everyone is invited to stop by anytime and use the place as they see fit. Once everyone knows their ETA, I would suggest the cove where Cyclone is camping as a spot to gather the boats. It is calm and protected whereas the creek is narrow at my dock and things really may bounce around if the lake is active.
