Well, we did it again. We were able to get 5 boats together at the same time for pictures. We hoped for 8 but we still topped last year's record of 4!!!
Thanks to Metts for joining us - he hasn't bought an Epic yet but took time to drive up from Augusta. He did some wakeboarding but you can tell he has spent a lot of time on a slightly narrower toy - a slalom. Pretty aggressive out there! The lean was really low and the rooster tail was flying on that last run. I have skimmed a lot of rocks across a lake but never saw a human being skimming across the water at warp speed. I assumed we were returning to pick up the body but low and behold Metts was grinning ear to ear - a lotta spunk.
Thanks to Breakawaydaze (Mr. BAD) for always being upbeat and positive. It would be awful hard to be in a BAD mood when he is around. Talk about a smooth (and incredibly quiet) ride - it makes my old jalopy seem ready to be put out to pasture! The only thing it lacks is use.
HCollado - sorry I had to leave shortly after you got there. My kids were alone at the house since I miscalculated when their Mom had to leave for work. They said they were just fine being home alone - which is exactly why I had to hurry-
Lesman - drives all the way up for the afternoon when his wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant. Talk about a balancing act and dedication---or perhaps just figured it was the last time for a while he would be out on the darn thing. Speaking of that, Les, I could tell you were ready to stop admiring the boats from waist high water and start doing something with them as I left. Hopfully you put a little time on the meter.
Finally, Cyclone - well what can I say? Well, let's start with "You need to improve your pool game - I have only been playing for a few months and I beat you - geez." or perhaps, "Keep your trash to yourself". Those two week old sub sandwiches smelled so bad I had to put my top down on the way home even thought they were in a sealed cooler. Hah - had you worried!!!
Seriously, Thanks for making all of this possible. I know that the site would have crashed and burned a long time ago if not for Les but you created it. Thanks for your dedication to Epics and those of us that own them. Most of all, thanks for not being a GEEK!!! It's amazing - I joined a car club a long time ago thinking it would be fun. I went to my first (and last) event only to find out that everyone loved their cars out of necessity. We are all friggin normal - THE END.
